"Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research"

Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research (INSPIRE)" is an innovative programme sponsored and managed by the Department of Science & Technology for attraction of talent to Science. The main objective of INSPIRE is to communicate to the young students of the country the excitements of creative pursuit of science and attract talent to the study of science at early stage and build the required critical human resource pool for strengthening and expanding the science and technology system and R&D base in our country. Overall it aims at working as a life- long catalysing experience for the 11th graders in science stream.

One of the components of the INSPIRE programme is "Scheme for Early Attraction of Talent for Science (SEATS) " in which top1% performers in class X board examination and pursuing science at plus 2 level will be provided an exposure with top global leaders in science in the summer/winter camps to experience the joy of innovations.

Department of Science and Technology (DST) established in 1971 has played significant role in the promotion of research and development in science and technology and has functioned as a nodal department organizing and promoting science and technology base of the country, DST has been launching various programmes with benefits in long term horizon. Central University of Kerala

The Central University of Kerala, Kasaragod is one of the 15 Central Universities established under the Central Universities Act 2009 (Parliament Act No. 25 of 2009). The University is founded on the noble vision of a “caring wisdom” and is guided by the lofty ideals of academic and social commitment, moral steadfastness and, intellectual and spiritual enlightenment, as reflected in its vision statement. Located in a region characterized by linguistic and ethnic diversity adorned by cultural richness, the University seeks to harness the local resources-human, intellectual, Social, artistic and cultural, while bringing in the best that profoundly needs an educational uplift. The University opened its academic portals in October 2009 with 17 students enrolling in two PG programmes and operated from a rented building at Nayanmarmoola (Vidyanagar). From this modest beginning, CU Kerala has grown into a prestigious institution with 12 schools comprising 28 departments offering 22 postgraduate and research programmes and 1 undergraduate programmes with total enrolment of more than 1500 students, in the academic year of 2019-2020.
